I have been the Principal Dentist and Owner of Kirkham Dental Care since 2014. I obtained my Bachelor of Dental Surgery from The University of Birmingham in 2009. Since then I have enjoyed a busy career in mostly private General Dental Practice. In 2012 I obtained the rigorous Royal College of Surgeons Membership Diploma in the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF). I am also a qualified Invisalign practitioner.
My philosophy towards providing dentistry is simple; it should be done with care, compassion and attention to detail. It is this ethos that has driven me to running my own practice, and to ensure patients under my care are treated well from the moment they enter the practice.
Aside from dentistry when at home, the hard work really begins; looking after and spending time with my 3 children. There is never a dull moment to be had! I enjoy watching the children at their various sports, squeezing in time for exercise myself and getting out walking and exploring as a family. I’m also a music lover, and enjoy both playing various instruments and getting to live music concerts whenever possible.

Peter graduated from Peninsula Dental School in 2013, after completing a BSc in Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield. Since qualifying Peter has worked in both general and hospital practice.
To complement the experience acquired working at Torbay Hospital he successfully passed the examinations required to become a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow in 2015. Peter has continued to develop his skills attaining post graduate certificates in restorative dentistry, implantology and aesthetic dentistry. Completion of the Dawson Academy UK enables him to provide full mouth rehabilitations for patients and when some teeth are unfortunately beyond repair, replacement with fixed restorations that feel natural.
Outside of work he likes to keep active in and around the great countryside and coastline we have here in Lancashire. Being a member of a gym in Kirkham certainly helps him in trying to keep fit. However, he can still be all too easily persuaded to relax and put his feet up at home with his wife, children and Penny the pug.

I joined the practice as a dental receptionist in July 2002 and was promoted to Reception Manager in 2016. Working in reception I am the first point of contact for patients and feel it is important to be professional and have a calm and cheerful manner as a lot of people are apprehensive about their first visit to the dentist, Kirkham is known as a market town and has a very tight knit community. I have lived and worked in Kirkham all my life so I have got to know a lot of patients on a personal and professional level. This is one of the best parts of being a dental receptionist as I am definitely a “people person”.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending family time with my husband Steven and my son, Kyan.
